Competition Rules for the Year 2026

  • Applications will open on 17 April 2026.
  • The application deadline is 15 May 2026.
  • The competition schedule will be published by 30 May 2026 on the competition website: www.netvp.eu.
  • The participation fee of CZK 1,500 is payable at the Competition Information Centre no later than on the day of registration.
  • All travel expenses, meals, and accommodation during the competition shall be covered by the participants themselves. The competition organizer provides all competitors free of charge with promotional materials, rehearsal facilities, and organizational support.
  • The organizer does not provide piano accompaniment.
  • Performing the entire competition repertoire from memory in all competition categories is mandatory.
  • Underage competitors must be accompanied by a legal guardian or an authorized person during the competition.
  • In the event of a significant exceedance of the time limit of the competition programme in the second round, in both the 1st and 2nd age categories, the jury reserves the right to interrupt the performance prematurely.
  • In the first round of the competition, competitors shall perform in an order drawn by lot prior to the start of the relevant age category. The time and place of the draw will be specified in the competition schedule and published on the competition website: www.netvp.eu
  • The draw for the performance order in the second round of the competition in both the 1st and 2nd age categories will take place immediately after the announcement of the results of the first round of the respective category.
  • A competitor who fails to attend the draw on time will not be admitted to the competition.
  • The processing and handling of personal data is carried out in accordance with the GDPR. By submitting the application, the adult competitor, or the legal guardian of an underage competitor, agrees to the competition regulations and conditions, as well as to the processing of the competitor’s personal data for documentation and promotional purposes. Visual and audio recordings from the competition may be used by the organizer for promotional purposes without any entitlement to remuneration on the part of the competitors (or their legal guardians) or their piano accompanists.
  • The competition takes place in the building of the Slávie Cultural Centre, Jirsíkova 243, 370 01 České Budějovice. All competitors and their accompanying persons are required to comply with the safety regulations and instructions of the competition organizer.
  • All information during the competition will be available at the Information Centre in the building of the Slávie Cultural Centre, Jirsíkova 243, 370 01 České Budějovice.
  • The capacity of the competition is limited. Competitors will be admitted in the order in which applications are received. Once the competition capacity has been reached, the acceptance of applications will be closed.
